MADE TO ORDER
Rustic, soulful and elegant, OOAK dinnerware can be used at home daily.
All dinnerware products on this page are made-to-order, using stoneware clay and food-safe glazes and oxides, making them strong and durable for regular use. They can go in the dishwasher but I strongly recommend to hand wash as much as you can to preserve the longevity of your OOAK pieces.
There is no minimum order: whether you want the one plate or a full size dinner set for 12 people, get in touch and we'll start designing !
Explore the possibilities
Examples of different finishes can be found below. When putting an order through, please let me know in a note or message which finish you desire. It is totally possible to mix and match, and have one plate in one style and another in a different style. The finish can also be decided conjointly with you, within my natural palette.
All items will be handmade by me in my Greenwich garden studio. My glazes and slips are made by me and are not commercially bought. They are applied by either pouring, dipping or brushing. Movement is often added so that they cover the piece with various drips, transparencies and even cracks sometime. "Happy" accidents are welcomed and in my opinion, are inherent to handmade products. Each piece will be completely unique and small variations among the pieces of a same set are to be expected.
Plates are handbuilt in an organic shape and can be done with a whispered rim, a smooth rim or a combination of both. Cups and bowls are wheelthrown on the potter's wheel.
When an order is through, I will contact you to discuss the possibilities, the finish you desire and give you the current lead time. The lead time can vary between 4 and 16 weeks depending on quantities and time of the year (in winter, greenware pottery dries at a much slower pace). The postage and packing fees will be calculated and invoiced separately, when your order is ready for dispatch (just select OOAK studio pick-up option when checking out). Please be aware that extra taxes and tariffs may incur, depending on the country you want your dinnerware sent to (read T&Cs here).
If you are unsure about the finish, it can be decided at a later stage. I will contact you before the first firing, in case the application of a slip is required for the finish you want, or before starting the glazing of your order to decide with you, which finish you would like. Mix and match is totally doable: a bread plate in one finish, a side plate in another and a dinner plate in a third one.
