This footed tea bowl has been wheel-thrown out of a rustic grey stoneware clay, with a typical "chawan" shape.
It has then been glazed with a Tenmoku glaze layered with a wood-ash glaze.
A textural bowl with interesting features: wax resist showing the clay in some areas, bleeding of the wood-ash glaze into the Tenmoku, developing a strong denim blue colour complemented by cream tones. All faces are different, making it ideal for a matcha tea ceremony.
Fired in oxidation at a temperature of 1220ºC, ensuring both durability and uniqueness.
