This is a wheel-thrown stoneware pudding bowl crafted from St Amand clay, featuring a traditional Japanese 'Hakeme' design, where a white slip has been applied using a handmade brush.
Inspired by traditional Japanese pottery craftmanship and organic patterns found in nature, this piece was lovingly handmade in my garden studio in London. It was fired at a temperature of 1220ºC, using a wood-ash glaze recipe developped in my studio, ensuring both durability and uniqueness.
The artisanal making process of this piece means that each bowl is truly one-of-a-kind, with subtle variations in every piece.
