Unique mother of pearl finish using a wood-ash glaze and some copper highlights on the rim. The foot has been pierced with three holes so that the platter can be displayed on the wall if desired, using a wire.
 
This bowl makes a stunning statement piece on its own but can also be used for fruits or for an elegant ikebana display.
