This footed tea bowl has been wheel-thrown out of a warm grey stoneware clay.
Porcelain slip has been added on the outside to provide a textural finish. The bowl has been glazed with a Tenmoku glaze, and a Nuka type of wood-ash glaze. It’s been fired twice at glaze temperatures, to provide more depth and flow in the glaze.
 
A beautiful bowl with lots of interesting features from all angles. Its wabisabi appearance is enhanced by its slighty irregular rim.
 
Fired in oxidation at a temperature of 1220ºC, ensuring both durability and uniqueness.
