Handmade one-of-a-kind ceramics
OOAK Creation
SIMPLE SERENE SOULFUL
Two voices, one maker, one material.
Handmade one-of-a-kind ceramics shaped by both reason and intuition.
My work reflects the balance between my rational mind as a former civil engineer and my creative spirit as a potter. One path is defined by quiet, structured forms, the other by raw, elemental glazes crafted from plant ashes and locally sourced elements. Both share the same intention: to create one-of-a-kind ceramics that invite slowness, presence, and resilience. Each piece honors the earth and its cycles, embodying the wabi-sabi philosophy — finding beauty in imperfection and the authenticity of handmade ceramic work.

I work from my London garden pottery studio. Read more about my materials, process, and philosophy in my Studio Notes.

COMING SOON ...
TOGETHER
Designed with simplicity at its core, the new Together collection focuses on form, proportion, and balance. Each piece stands on its own, yet finds harmony alongside others. Made to mix and match freely, the collection encourages flexibility—adapting to different tables, meals, and moments, while remaining consistent in its quiet, functional language.

I believe that as a potter, I have a duty to promote the concept of eco-herence, or coherent sustainability, through mindful practices and ecocaring working habits. As an example of those little gestures which can make a difference, since I started selling my pots online, I have tried to avoid plastic as a ceramic wrapping staple. I have embraced eco-friendly recyclable packaging materials, so don't be surprised if you receive your next order, wrapped in recycled papers and cardboard boxes. I make all my pottery glazes myself and don’t use ready-made commercial glazes. I love using plant ashes, kitchen waste as eggshells, and foraged clay. It’s a way to work with nature rather than against it. Wood-ashes from my log burner, calcinated eggshells or oyster shells, used coffee grounds and even banana peels can become key ingredients, reducing waste and giving my pieces a one-of-a-kind organic and earthy character. I also often incorporate local clays, gathered around my London home or during outdoor walks. After being cleaned, sieved, dried into a powder and finally rehydrated, the clay is ready to be used as an engobe to decorate my pots. This approach not only minimises my environmental footprint but also connects me more deeply to our Mother Earth. Each glaze is unique and unpredictable, perfectly imperfect and a true reflection of the wabi-sabi aesthetics I embrace in my work.
