Tatami vase - Basalt

Wheethrown out of a German anthracite clay.
The exterior has been slow carved by hand, using a wood-working gauge, and is left unglazed.
This elegant minimalist shape is highlighted with a metallic black collar and interior.
Perfect as a sipper but also as a small vase.
 
Fired in oxidation at a temperature of 1220ºC, ensuring both durability and uniqueness.
